SHORT STORY: Eight athletes traveled to the Sunshine State to compete at the invitational held by the University of Florida, Friday and Saturday.
KEY NOTES
- Jacob Smith highlighted the meet for the Great Danes, setting a new program record in the 1500m with a time of 3:42.64. Smith beat the previous record, set in 2011 by Paul Lagno, by just over two seconds.
- Three other UAlbany athletes either entered or improved their place in the top-10.
- Amelia Benjamin placed first overall in the women's high jump invite.
