SHORT STORY: The Great Danes celebrated 19 seniors, men and women, ahead of their annual home meet, Friday.
KEY NOTES
- The 4x100m relay opened the track by breaking a four-year meet record previously held by the Great Danes.
- Brinesha Derrick-Bain added a second meet record for UAlbany in the 100m hurdles beating the previous mark by just one hundredth of a second. She enters the program's top 10 at number seven.
- Skyler Smith and Jaymee Yelton finished first and second in the 800m. They are now ranked fourth sixth, respectively, in the program's top 10.
- Taylor Rogers and Thalia Benoit entered the program's top 10 in their respective events. Rogers is now eighth in the 400m dash while Benoit is 10th in the 400m hurdles.
- Marissa Gordon recorded a personal record in the long jump to improve her program-third-best mark.
- As a team, the Great Danes tallied 30 personal records, 26 of which came on the track.
