BOSTON - The University at Albany track and field's
Keegan Collins has been named the Field Athlete of the Week by the America East Conference, announced Tuesday.
A native of Greenwich, New York, Collins recorded a personal record in the hammer throw at the RPI Under the Lights meet on Saturday, April 11. With a 59.46m throw, she is now ranked second in program history. In the NCAA East, Collins holds the 26th-best hammer throw this season. She is second in the Northeast and first in the conference.
This is the first weekly award for Collins this season, and the third for the women's outdoor team.
The track and field programs will return to action on Friday (Apr. 17) as they host their annual home meet, the Bobbi Palma Spring Classic.
