Event: The Knecht Cup Regatta
 
Location: Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J 

Short Story: The UAlbany women's rowing team competed at the Knecht Cup Regatta and showed a great outing in the Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Eight categories. In the Second Varsity Eight Final 4, the Great Danes secured a 4th-place finish with a time of 07:33.38, finishing just ahead of La Salle. The Varsity Eight boat also showed grit, placing 4th in their semi-final with a time of 07:28.20 and earned a spot in Final 2, where they placed sixth in a time of 7:14.96
 
Other notable results from Saturday included a 5th-place finish in the Varsity Four Heat 5 (08:57.08) and a 4th-place finish in the Women's Frosh/Novice Four heat, where the crew crossed the line at 09:44.60. Overall, the regatta featured consistent effort from the UAlbany crews as they battled through deep fields and multiple rounds of competition.

Next Up
The Great Danes' next race will be their closest to UAlbany all spring season when they compete in the NYS Collegiate Championships in Saratoga, N.Y. on Fish Creek.
