COACH JOSH PICKARD: "Great first match to start the tournament. We were very effective from the service line which helped us set up our defense. I felt as a team we were calm and stuck to our game plan really well."

• Graduate outside hitter Shynelle Woroniuk recorded 14 kills and 8 digs.

• Graduate opposite Kendall Harris added 9 kills on .292 hitting.

• Sophomore outside/opposite McKenna Collins chipped in 9 kills and 2 blocks.

• Sophomore setter Maria Olga Siapani directed the attack with 31 assists and 13 digs.

• Redshirt-junior libero Brooke Malek recorded a team-high 19 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• UAlbany opened the match on a 3-0 run capped by a Barletta ace.

• Collins and Wilson sparked a mid-set push that extended the lead to 15-12.

• Woroniuk sealed the opener with back-to-back kills for a 25-20 win.

• The Great Danes broke the second set open with a 10-2 stretch, fueled by Harris and Woroniuk on the pins.

• Barletta steadied the defense and chipped in another ace to keep the momentum rolling.

• Collins delivered a late swing as UAlbany closed the frame, 25-15.

• Dartmouth kept the third close early, tying the set at 12-12.

• Karman delivered an ace and Collins added a pair of kills to push the Danes back in front.

• Harris finished the sweep with her ninth kill for the 25-20 victory.
