SHORT STORY: UAlbany dropped its second match of the Boston College Invitational in straight sets to Sacramento State.
COACH JOSH PICKARD: "Tough outing this morning. We played very up and down during the whole match. When we were good we were very good but unfortunately the opposite is true as well. Looking forward to the chance to play one more time this weekend against an ACC opponent."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UAlbany kept the opening set tight, rallying from 20-16 down with kills from Woroniuk and a block by Karman and Siapani to tie it at 21-21.
- Sacramento State answered with four straight points to close the frame, 25-21.
- The Hornets started strong in the second, jumping out to a 7-0 lead.
- UAlbany chipped away with kills from Karman and Wilson, and a Yasar service ace cut the deficit to 19-12, but Sacramento State held on for a 25-18 win.
- UAlbany fought throughout the third set, pulling even at 13-13 after consecutive Woroniuk kills.
- Malek sparked the defense with several digs, and Harris brought the Danes within 20-19 late, but Sacramento State closed it out 25-20 to complete the sweep.
