Mara Küskes score both goals in a one-goal decision against Northeastern, Sunday afternoon.
COACH PHIL SYKES: "It was a great team win today. Northeastern is a very tough team; they are a well-coached, strong physical team. I am really proud of how our girls played today. Conference games are definitely more important this time of year but we knew we were going to have a tough battle today and I loved how our girls showed up and got through the weekend 2-0."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jenna Zunic opened the scoring in the first quarter. It was the first time the Great Danes have scored in the first quarter since a shutout win against New Haven on September 3.
- Zunic collected a rebounded shot from junior Pilar Lorenzini and sent the ball right back to the net for the goal at 13:14.
- UAlbany tallied seven shots, with five penalty corners, in the second quarter, but the Huskies remained firm and the halftime score stood at 1-0.
- With the first corner of the second half, Mara Küskes scored on the designed corner play with an assist from Indy van Ek on the insert.
- Northeastern got the final say with a goal scored during a corner as the clock ran out in the fourth quarter.
NEXT: The Great Danes will head to Vermont for their next conference matchup (Friday, Oct. 17) before hosting nationally-ranked Yale on Sunday (Oct. 19).
