- Toni Galloway qualified first overall in the women's 60m hurdles in a personal-best 8.53; Olivia Nelson Chevry qualified third in a personal-best 8.72, winning her heat by seven one-thousandths of a second. Kate Del Gandio qualified in fourth position in a personal-best 8.58, Donnell Hartley in sixth in a personal-best 8.73, and Brinesha Derrick-Bain in eighth in 8.78.
- Antwone Messado qualified in seventh position in the men's 60m hurdles in 8.54; Kendall Mariacher qualified eighth in 8.71.

- Eva Edery placed seventh in the women's pole vault, clearing a personal-best 11-03-75.
