ALBANY, N.Y. - The UAlbany women's basketball team continues at home for a midweek contest against local Division III opponent, RPI.
For a special Fansgiving game, there will be four giveaways throughout the contest (once per quarter). All that is needed to enter the giveaway is a ticket and attendance. Winners will be randomly chosen by their seat/ticket number.
UAlbany's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be at the game on Wednesday collecting items for the annual America East food drive. Any support is appreciated as they compete against other schools in the conference for Food Frenzy. For this week's game, if you bring a can, you get a code for a BOGO offer (tickets valid for the Vermont or Maine games). Donations will be taken to the Regional Food Bank in Albany to benefit the local community.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Great Danes continued their unbeaten streak with a close victory over Cornell at home on Saturday (Nov. 23).
- No more than a two-possession game at the end of each of the first three quarters, the Great Danes pulled ahead halfway through the fourth with three consecutive three-pointers from senior Meghan Huerter.
- Although the Big Red brought it back to a two-point game, 49-47, the final 30 seconds consisted of five made free throws from graduate student Kayla Cooper for the final 54-47 decision.
- Cooper led the team with her fourth consecutive game eclipsing 20 points. She scored 24 points while shooting 75% from the field.
- Graduate student Kaci Donovan also totaled double-digit points (13).
- Junior Gabriela Falcão blocked three shots and graduate student Lilly Phillips assisted three field goals.
GREAT DANE REWIND
- In the team's best start since the 2013-14 season, UAlbany is unbeaten through the first five games of the season. During the opening of the 2013 season, the Great Danes went 8-0.
- After opening with a double-digit home victory against Rhode Island (11.8), 67-57, UAlbany grounded out a win at Dartmouth (11.13), 58-53, before taking a second double-digit victory, 61-49, against Sacred Heart (11.16).
- Most recently, the Great Danes upset Syracuse at the JMA Wireless Dome (11.20) before beating Cornell (11.23) at home.
- Kayla Cooper leads with 21.6 points per game, 8.8 rebounds per game, nine steals, and nine assists.
- Gabriela Falcão owns a team-high nine blocks.
- Falcão, Lilly Phillips, and freshman Delanie Hill are tied with eight assists each.
- Kaci Donovan follows Cooper as the only other Great Dane averaging double-digit points (10.2).
- As a team, the Great Danes are shooting .442 from the field, with a 30.7% accuracy from downtown, and .839 from the line.

- Kayla Cooper tallied her 50th career block against Cornell on Saturday (Nov. 23).
- Graduate student point guard Jessica Tomasetti is just one assist away from 200 career assists.
- Kaci Donovan (10) and senior Laycee Drake (14) are closing in on 100 career assists.
- Donovan is 61 points away from joining the 1000-point club. Cooper is nearing 1500 points (57 points away).

- The Engineers are 5-1 on the season having lost their only road game.
- Opening the season at home, RPI defeated Plattsburgh State (11.8), SUNY Potsdam (11.9), and the Coast Guard Academy (11.13).
- After a loss at SUNY Cobleskill (11.17), the Engineers won neutral contests against Hartwick College (11.22) and Maine-Farmington (11.23).
- Siena Smith leads the team with 13.8 points per game, 5.3 rebounds per game, 19 assists, and 14 steals.
- Callie Flynn is tied with Smith with 5.3 rebounds per game while Amanda Gallagher is close behind with just one less rebound (5.2 per game).
- Flynn also leads with 12 blocks on the season.
- Tyler Hormazabal has tallied a team-high 19 assists to share the lead with Smith.
- As a team, the Engineers are shooting .370 from the field, with a 31.0% accuracy from downtown, and .675 from the line.
SERIES AGAINST THE ENGINEERS
- UAlbany leads the series, 24-9, however, the teams have not met since before UAlbany moved out of Division III.
- The most recent meeting between the two teams was in January 1995 with a 68-60 UAlbany win. The game occurred during the Great Danes' final year of Division III.
PAST/CURRENT CONNECTIONS
- Current Engineer Marley Mueller is the daughter of UAlbany baseball coach, John Mueller.
- Marley is a senior on the team with six starts through six contests. The local athlete averages 11.4 minutes per game while appearing in nearly every game during her collegiate career.

- UAlbany will continue its partnership with ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team and City Line Bar & Grill for the fourth consecutive year.
- Coaches Colleen Mullen and Dwayne Killings, along with select student-athletes, will join ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team's Dan Bahl and Michael Johnson Jr. every Monday from 6-7 pm live from City Line Bar & Grill for a weekly segment entitled 'Drive the Lane with UAlbany Hoops'.
- Fans are invited to come to City Line Bar & Grill to join Coach Mullen, Coach Killings, the student-athletes, and the ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team crew.
- Food and drink specials will be available on a weekly basis as the teams embark on their new seasons and talk hoops every Monday.
AMERICA EAST STANDINGS
- Three weeks into the season, the Great Danes are the only remaining undefeated team in the conference.
- Bryant follows with just one loss in seven games.
- Binghamton and New Hampshire are just above .500 with a 4-3 record.
- UMBC sits even with three wins in six contests.
- Vermont (3-4) is one game away from an even .500 win percentage.
- Maine and NJIT have two wins each but the Black Bears hold the slight edge with four losses to the Highlanders five.
- UMass Lowell rounds out the conference looking for their first win.
AROUND THE AMERICA EAST
- UAlbany's Kayla Cooper was named the Player of the Week on Monday for the third-straight week.
- Cooper averaged 22.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 74% in a pair of wins.
- She has 21 points and 10 rebounds in a 73-70 win over Syracuse.
- She is the first player to win POW three-straight weeks since Blanca Milan from Maine did it during the 2020-21 season.
- NJIT's Olivia Kulyk was selected as the Rookie of the Week.
- Kulyk tallied 10.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in two losses.
- Second ROW win for Kulyk and third-straight Highlander and Allison Cannon won it the previous week.
- Bryant is 6-1 and off to its best start since 2014-15.
- The Bulldogs' lone loss was a 55-39 decision to Seton Hall.
- Last season, the team's first under Lynne-Ann Kokoski, they went 15-15 and 8-8 in AE action.
- Another win will give them their best start since 2004-05 when they were a Division II school.
