BOSTON - The University at Albany's women's volleyball's
Zosia Szczotkiewicz was named the America East Setter of the Week, announced Tuesday.
A native of Walcz, Poland, Szczotkiewicz totaled 88 assists to average 8.8 per set over the three-match weekend. The junior setter added 24 digs (2.4 per set) throughout 10 sets.
In a four-set victory over Cornell, Szczotkiewicz notched 46 assists to set the team up for a .222 hitting percentage.
This award marks the first of the season and the first of Szczotkiewicz's career.
UAlbany is scheduled to head on the road for a three-match invitational at George Mason (Sept. 15-16).
