GREAT DANE REWIND
- Advancing to the WNIT in the 2022-23 season, the Great Danes finished with a 22-12 record.
- After hosting victories against UMass Lowell and Maine in the quarter- and semifinals, UAlbany fell to first-seed Vermont in the America East Championship.
- The Great Danes closed the season in the First Round of the WNIT at UMass.
- UAlbany welcomes the return of six 2022-23 student-athletes - Fatima Lee, Lilly Phillips, Helene Haegerstrand, Kayla Cooper, Abby Ray, and Marie Sepp.
- This offseason, the Great Danes added eight student-athletes - five freshmen and three transfers.
WHAT'S UP, PRESEASON
- With 48 total points, the UAlbany women's basketball team was picked to finish third in the America East preseason poll.
- The Great Danes trail Vermont and Maine. The Catamounts led the conference with 63 points, including seven first-place votes, and the Black Bears followed with 58 points including two first-place votes.
- Returning stat leader Kayla Cooper was named to the Preseason All-Conference Team after leading UAlbany on offense (15.2 points per game and a .486 FG%) and defense (8.3 rebounds per game).
ABOUT MERRIMACK
- Monday's matchup will also be the Warrior's season opener.
- In the 2022-23 season, Merrimack finished with a 15-16 record after the NEC semifinal.
- Graduating five student-athletes, the Warriors added seven freshmen and one transfer.
- Overall, Merrimack returned four players from last season's starting lineup.
SERIES AGAINST THE WARRIORS
- Merrimack leads the all-time series, 4-3.
- This will be the first time these two sides face off since Merrimack became a full Division I school. This is the third meeting since UAlbany became a Division I school.
- Most recently, the Great Danes defeated the Warriors, 67-53, on November 11, 2022.
- Returning student-athlete Lilly Phillips scored 13 points and tallied five rebounds, including three on the offensive glass.

- UAlbany will continue its partnership with ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team and City Line Bar & Grill for the third consecutive year.
- Coaches Colleen Mullen and Dwayne Killings, along with select student-athletes, will join ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team's Charlie Voelker and Dan Bahl every Monday from 6-7 pm live from City Line Bar & Grill for a weekly segment entitled 'Drive the Lane with UAlbany Hoops'.
- Fans are invited to come out to City Line Bar & Grill to join Coach Mullen, Coach Kills, the student-athletes, and the ESPN Radio 104.5 The Team crew.
- Food and drink specials will be available on a weekly basis as the teams embark on their new seasons and talk hoops every Monday.
