HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Great Danes opened with a 7-1 scoring run in the first set.
- After going back and forth for a bit, the Bulldogs tallied four-straight points to close the point gap to 14-11.
- Trading points for the remainder of the set, UAlbany gradually extended its lead before taking the first set, 25-19.
- The second set began with back-and-forth action before the Bulldogs broke out to a 9-4 lead with a 7-1 scoring run.
- Showing resilience, UAlbany battled back to reduce the deficit to 10-9.
- Bryant gained an eight-point advantage with an 8-1 scoring run before earning the second set win, 25-15.
- In the third set, a 6-1 scoring run provided the Bulldogs an early 10-4 lead.
- Trading short runs, the Great Danes were behind 18-14 but Bryant finished the set with seven unanswered points for a 25-14 decision.
- UAlbany grabbed the first point in the fourth set. Five consecutive points gave the Great Danes an early 7-3 advantage.
- After trading points, the Bulldogs pushed ahead with a 6-1 scoring run for a 14-12 lead.
- The Great Danes answered back with a 5-0 scoring run to regain the lead.
- The Bulldogs pulled away late in the set with nine unanswered points.
- Despite trading the last couple of points, Bryant took the match, 3-1, with a 25-19 set victory.
