Head Coach Sade Ayinde: "It's always good to get a win. It was great that we were able to play a lot of people, and see some different things from our players in different positions. Obviously we're excited that we scored four goals. We had an extra day of rest before today's game, which allowed us a full training session. I think it allowed our players to reset in a sense and just play and get into a good rhythm."

How it Happened
- Playing at home for the second-straight game for the first time this season, the University at Albany women's soccer team hosted Wagner in their final match before they kick off their America East schedule next week.
In the 25th minute, Selma Elverum took a shot from close range that was redirected by Wagner goalkeeper Sam Hughes. The ball rebounded to Marisa Tava, who shot it into the back of the net to put UAlbany up 1-0.
- UAlbany scored again when freshman Hailey Hnis connected with Sahara Zingano up the left side. Zingano took her shot from left and beat Hughes on the far post to give UAlbany a 2-0 lead. The Great Danes would hold the same advantage at halftime.
- The Great Danes dominated the first half, taking 17 shots while surrendering just two, and controlling 61% of the possession. Additionally, the Great Danes' pressure resulted in six corner kicks in the first 45 minutes, while Wagner managed just one.
- Leading scorer on the season Emily Jozak forced a turnover deep in Wagner territory and pressed her advantage to score her fourth goal in the 51st minute to put UAlbany up 3-0. It was the Great Danes' largest lead of the season so far.
- Wagner got on the board in the 82nd, ending UAlbany's hopes of recording their first shutout of the year. UAlbany added one final goal on a broken play in the Wagner box in the 90th minute when a serve bounced around and into the net off a Wagner player. UAlbany would go on to win 4-1.
- Since getting shut out in their first four games, UAlbany has scored nine goals in their last four.Â
Next: UAlbany visits New Hampshire on September 18.
