EDISON, N.J. - Five Great Danes have been named to the 2021-22 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women's Golf All-Academic Team, the conference announced Thursday.
Led by seniors
Pasqualina Tartaglione and
Madison Walker, sophomores
Mariel Tee,
Katelin Richards, and
Maddie Campos filled out UAlbany's All-Academic winners. Every Great Dane eligible to win this award has been honored.
A total of 42 student-athletes were named to the 2020-21 MAAC Women's Golf All-Academic Team. To be eligible, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
Walker led the team with a 3.87 GPA, majoring in biology. Campos, a sophomore majoring in human biology, posted a 3.71 GPA to follow. Tee earned a 3.51 GPA in environmental science while Tartaglione (3.29) and Richards (3.23) rounded out the team.
UAlbany will close out the season at the MAAC Championships over the weekend (April 22-24). The first round is set for Friday, April 22, at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
