Short Story: The University at Albany baseball team captured its fifth straight victory on Wednesday afternoon against Fairleigh Dickinson, winning by a score of 12-7.
Will Feil hit two home runs to lead the high scoring offense, while
Cregg Scherrer pitched three strong innings of relief to lead the Great Danes defensively.
Coach Jon Mueller: "Midweek games are always unpredictable. These games allow for a number of different pitchers getting in and out of games. From the fifth inning on we outscored FDU 8-1. The middle relief was solid and the offense went into gear to gather and extend the lead.
Cregg Scherrer was outstanding and we had many contributors up and down the line-up"

- John Daly scored on an error to make the lead 3-0, still in the first inning.
- In the bottom of the first, Justin Sierra singled to score Joan Sosa for FDU.
- George Rosales singled to left field in the second, scoring Tommy Verga and making it 3-2.
- Owen Birkman replaced Quinn on the mound in the bottom half of the second.
- FDU took its first lead of the game in the second inning. William Pope tied the game on a wild pitch and Rosales scored off a sac fly to left field by Tom Ruscitti to make it 3-4.
- Bryce Timko entered the game for Fairleigh Dickinson to start the third.
- In the top of the third, Carson Dunkel tied the game at four with a double, scoring Bottari.
- Gavin Price took the mound for FDU midway through the third.
