GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University at Albany baseball program has earned Team Academic honors from the American Baseball Coaches Association.

More than 580 college and high school programs in the United States were recognized for their academic prowess during the 2020-21 season. To qualify, a team must post a GPA of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale for the duration of the 2020-21 academic year.

UAlbany was one of 94 Division I schools recognized by the ACBA in 2020-21, and, with conference newcomer NJIT, one of just two representatives from the America East.

The Great Danes went 22-25 in 2021, including 20-18 in-conference, winning nine of 14 games to close the regular season and clinch a spot in the America East Tournament. Head Coach
