Short Story: UAlbany women's track & field wins its 12th-straight America East Outdoor Championship behind eight event victories, including three from Asia Jinks.

Track Results

• The women's 4x100m relay team of Imani Gray, Dominique Clarke, Chidinma Matthew, and Rori Lowe placed first in 46.20.
• Asia Jinks won the 100m hurdles in 14.48.
• Clarke won the 100m in 12.22, followed by Matthew in second in 12.25 and Lowe in fifth in 12.66.
• Jinks won the 400m hurdles in 1:00.14, followed by Dee Denis in second in 1:01.51.
• The women's 4x400m relay team of Denis, Gray, Matthew, and Jinks placed first in 3:46.22.
• Imani Gray placed sixth in the 400m in 58.00.
• Samantha Rutt placed fifth in the 800m in 2:14.77.
• Matthew placed third in the 200m in 25.07, followed by Clarke in fourth in 25.23 and Lowe in eighth in 26.27.
• Cara Sherman placed second in the 5,000m in 16:54.33.
• The women's 4x800m relay team of Kaylah Quarshie, Kaitlyn Butterfield, Amanda Chambers, and Rutt placed fourth in 9:17.26.

Field Results

• Ludith Campos won the hammer throw with a mark of 181-09.00, followed by Shiana Galette-Rowe in fourth with a mark of 157-05.00, and Lynne Gbadamosi in eighth with a personal-best mark of 155-02.00.
• Rebeca Valerie Barrientos Alpha won the triple jump with a personal-best mark of 40-01.50, followed by Lauren Addario in sixth in a wind-aided 38-07.75.
• Alexandria Payne placed fourth in the heptathlon, scoring 4,350 points, followed by Brianna Thier in sixth, scoring 3,563 points.
• Shania Scott placed third in the shot put in 45-05.75, followed by Shelby Bigsby in fourth in 45-05.25, and Galette-Rowe in sixth in a personal-best 40-02.25.
• Shannon Bailey placed sixth in the high jump, clearing 5-04.50.
• Scott placed second in the discus in a freshman-record 163-04.00, followed by Bigsby in fifth in 137-07.00.

Meet Notes

• Asia Jinks won three events, the 100m hurdles, the 400m hurdles, and the 4x400m relay, and was named Women's Co-Outstanding Track Performer with Stony Brook's Amanda Stead.
• Dominique Clarke won the 100m and 4x100m and placed fourth in the 200m, earning Women's Outstanding Rookie honors.
• The women's staff was named Coaching Staff of the Year.
• Shania Scott's mark in the discus surpasses her own freshman class record, 158-00.00, set last week at Army West Point.  It is the second time she has set the freshman class record this season.
• The men's team won their 16th-straight outdoor title, scoring 139 points behind eight event victories.
• This is UAlbany's first conference title in any sport since indoor track swept the 2020 team titles February 21-22, 2020.
