- Through Day 1's five events, Robertino Mancabelli is ninth in the decathlon with 3,013 points, with Peter Meehan in 11th with 2,964 and Dominic Jack in 12th with 2,913. Vermont's Alex Parasky leads heading into Sunday's final five events with 3,631 points.
- Michael Baker placed eighth in the pole vault, clearing a personal-best 14-01.25.
- Dawshawn Williams qualified first in the 110m hurdles in a wind-aided 14.76, and Easton Reagan qualified eighth in a wind-aided 15.65.
