Short Story: Despite three close sets, the UAlbany volleyball team fell to Rhode Island in the Art Carmichael Invitational opener Friday afternoon.
Coach Pickard: “Credit to Rhode Island for coming out this morning with a lot of energy and playing scrappy volleyball. They were able to frustrate us and go on a couple of runs that put things out of reach for us. We are having a bit of trouble putting a whole set together right now but we have two more matches this weekend to work on it.”
