BOSTON - University at Albany senior Ryan Udvadia has been named America East Men's Track Performer of the Week, the conference offices announced Wednesday. He is named alongside men's field performer Michael Shanahan from New Hampshire, women's track performer Amanda Stead from Stony Brook, and women's field performer Kaylyn Gordon, also from Stony Brook.

Last weekend Udvadia, a distance runner from Shoreham, N.Y., won the men's 1,500m at the University of Connecticut's Northeast Challenge. He finished in a personal best time of 3:49.48, which is currently the top mark in the event in the America East this season. Udvadia is the defending 1,500m champion from last year's America East Outdoor Championships.

The Great Danes will host the 34th annual Spring Classic this weekend starting with two days of multis events on Thursday and Friday, before the full meet runs its course on Saturday. A select group of distance runners will head south to the University of Virginia for the Virginia Challenge, which begins Friday.
