ALBANY, N.Y. – The UAlbany field hockey team has been honored with the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA DI National Academic Team Award, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced on Wednesday.

It is the fourth consecutive season that UAlbany has earned the NFHCA Academic Award.  As a team, UAlbany stands with a 3.51 GPA.

Programs are awarded with this honor after earning a team GPA of 3.0 or higher following the 2016 season.

Later in the week, the NFHCA will announces its National Academic Squad and Scholars of Distinction.

On the field, UAlbany won the America East regular season title in the East Division, finishing 14-6 overall with a 7-1 conference slate.
