ALBANY, N.Y. – For the week ending March 18th, UAlbany men's lacrosse face-off specialist TD Ierlan was honored as the Epoch Inside Lacrosse Committed Academy Freshman of the Week.
Inside Lacrosse selects two standout freshmen during the week, who are then voted on by the public. Ierlan beat out Duke's Joey Manown for the weekly honor.
Ierlan was the America East Rookie of the Week after grabbing 64% (16-for-25) of faceoffs against Vermont, scooping 10 ground balls in the victory. He added an assist on his total.
On the year, including the win over Canisius on Tuesday, Ierlan has won 65.7% of faceoffs, fifth in Division I, and is third in DI with 9.5 ground balls per game.
Ierlan and the Great Danes battle UMass Lowell for the conference home opener tomorrow at 3 p.m.
