ALBANY, N.Y. – The UAlbany volleyball team continues to rack up America Easy weekly honors, adding two more on Monday.
Nicole Otero repeated as the America East Defensive Specialist of the Week while Kelly Cameron earned America East Setter of the Week.
Otero earns a weekly honor for the sixth consecutive time this year, while Cameron picks up her fourth. In total, UAlbany has notched 17 America East weekly honors this season.
The duo is honored after UAlbany defeated Stony Brook in four sets on Friday night, giving the Great Danes their 10th consecutive victory.
Otero finished with another career night as the libero, tallying 30 digs for 7.5 per set. The junior also had a perfect 100% receive rate and six assists.
Cameron was the setter for UAlbany, leading the Great Danes to hit .255. The sophomore finished with a double double of 48 assists and 11 digs, adding six kills.
UAlbany is getting ready for the America East Tournament, hosting Stony Brook on Friday, November 17th at 7 p.m.
