ALBANY, N.Y. – For the second time this season, Amanda Dolan has been chosen as the America East Volleyball Defensive Specialist of the Week.
This is UAlbany's 11th weekly volleyball honor, including six defensive specialist of the week awards. Dolan has two defensive honors while Nicole Otero has the other four.
Dolan helped UAlbany win a couple of road matches at Hartford and UMass Lowell over the weekend to keep the Great Danes in first place in the league.
The senior middle blocker averaged two blocks per set in the victories, totaling 16 blocks, seven digs and eight kills. She earned a season-high 10 blocks in the victory at UMass Lowell.
Dolan and the Great Danes will take on Stony Brook on Friday, November 4th at 7 p.m. for Senior Day at the University Gym.
