Peter Hooley Selected for 12-Player World University Games Australia Squad

BASKETBALL AUSTRALIA RELEASE
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA – Following a tryout process in Canberra, University at Albany shooting guard Peter Hooley was named to the final 12-member squad set to represent Australia in the World University Games. Competition begins July 3 and runs through July 14 in South Korea.
“I'm very excited to have the opportunity to represent my country,” said Hooley. It's always something I've had a dream of doing. I'm blessed to be able to wear the Green and Gold, and compete with a great team for a chance at a gold medal. I'm thrilled for this opportunity and can't wait to represent Australia.”
Hooley and the rest of the World University Games team will venture to China for a series of exhibition games before making the trip to South Korea. Australia will compete in Pool C, facing Chinese Taipei in the opening game on July 4. Other members of Pool C include Finland, France, Japan and Lithuania.
