Peter Hooley Named 2015 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence Recipient

ALBANY, N.Y.- Fresh off of his SportsCenter appearance earlier in the week, University at Albany men's basketball guard Peter Hooley earned the 2015 SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence, the UAlbany President's Office announced Thursday afternoon.

The SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence recognizes SUNY students in the graduating class who have demonstrated the highest levels of academic excellence and made significant contributions to campus life at the University at Albany. This award is a tribute to their hard work and commitment to excellence during their undergraduate experience. 

Hooley will graduate in May with dual degrees in psychology and journalism. He is a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team and America East All-Academic selection. The junior also earned America East Men's Basketball Co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors in 2014.
