Page, Van Rijswijk Selected for NFHCA Division I Senior Game

ALBANY, N.Y.- Two of UAlbany's all-time leaders in assists were named to the NFHCA Division I Senior Game roster, the coaches association announced Wednesday. Laura Page and Fiori Van Rijswijk will compete at the annual senior game on Nov. 21 at the University of Michigan at 2:30pm. The pair will compete with 36 of the top seniors in Division I field hockey.

Page is the NCAA active leader in career assists across all three divisions with 59 to date. Serving as a key member of the defensive line and the penalty corner unit, Page is a two-time NFHCA All-Region selection and unanimous America East First Team pick last season. She was voted the 2012 America East Co-Rookie of the Year, and has started all but one game in her four-year career. The Scotland native is the UAlbany all-time program leader in career and single-season assists.

Van Rijswijk currently ranks fifth nationally in assists per game (0.85). Like Page, she is also a two-time NFHCA All-Region honoree, as well as a three-time All-Conference selection. She has made 74 career appearances for the Great Danes and is third all-time in career assists with 38. Van Rijswijk is also an exemplary student, earning America East All-Academic and NFHCA National Academic squad accolades the last two seasons.
