Laini Leindecker Earns Final 2014 America East Volleyball Player of the Week Honor

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – UAlbany outside hitter Laini Leindecker has been selected as the America East Volleyball Player of the Week after leading the Great Danes to victory over UMBC on Sunday.
The victory secured UAlbany's tie for second place in the America East, earning them the three-seed in the upcoming America East Tournament in Durham, New Hampshire.
Leindecker has earned her second Player of the Week of the year and third weekly honor of her career. It is the sixth weekly honor for UAlbany this season, including three Player of the Week honors.
The sophomore hit .391 in the three-set match, finishing with 13 kills, eight digs and a service ace. She had a key run in the first set, earning four-consecutive kills to pull UAlbany into the lead from down three.
Leindecker and the Great Danes will play Binghamton on Friday, November 21st at 3 p.m. in Durham for the America East Tournament semifinals, playing Binghamton at 3 p.m.
