Gontarek Earns Fourth CAA Rookie Of The Week Honor

RICHMOND, Va. -- University at Albany freshman wide receiver Josh Gontarek has been named the CAA Rookie of the Week for the second straight week and fourth time this season, announced Monday by the conference office. The honor marks UAlbany's ninth CAA accolade this fall.

GONTAREK NOTES:  True freshman Josh Gontarek served as Will Fiacchi's primary receiver against Delaware (31-28, L), as he accrued a career-high 118 receiving yards and two touchdowns on six catches … Trailing, 28-14, in the fourth quarter, Gontarek put the Danes within three, 31-28, with 33 seconds left, connecting with Fiacchi twice for a 29-yard touchdown (14:55) and a 19-yard touchdown … In his rookie campaign, Gontarek leads UAlbany with 51 receptions, 616 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns.
