UALBANY VS. VERMONT LIVE VIDEO

ALBANY, N.Y. – No. 12 University at Albany field hockey (15-2, 4-0 AE) hits the road for Vermont (3-14, 1-3 AE) to conclude the regular season on Friday at 2:00 p.m. The Great Danes have a shot at winning the league regular season title outright, and are looking for their 10th-consecutive victory.

WITH A WIN UALBANY…

  • Wins the America East Regular Season title outright
  • Extends its single-season winning streak to a program-best 10 games

LAST TIME OUT

Last weekend UAlbany downed No. 20 Maine 3-0 to clinch the No. 1 seed in the America East Tournament, as well as home-field hosting privileges. On Sunday the Great Danes got a scare from Yale on the road, but eventually pulled out the 4-2 win in New Haven.

Paula Heuser and Maxi Primus earned America East weekly honors for their performances last week. Heuser took the Player of the Week nod for the fifth time, while Primus won Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time in 2014 and sixth overall.

LAST WE MET

Heuser posted a dominating three-goal, one-assist performance against the Catamounts at home en route to an 8-0 victory in 2013. Primus earned her 10th career victory in the cage to earn the program's fifth consecutive win against Vermont in the series.

THE CHASE IS OVER

In a 2-0 weekend, Heuser and Laura Page each broke their respective single-season records in points and assists. Heuser has 56 career points to date, while Page has 21 assists this season. Both midfielders are now chasing all-time career records. Page is six assists shy of becoming the all-time career leader in assists, while Heuser is 17 points away from topping the Division I career leaderboard in points.

SCOUTING VERMONT

| Friday, Oct. 31 at 2:00 p.m. | at Vermont (3-14, 1-3 AE) |
| Series: UAlbany leads 11-5 |

Vermont is fighting for a spot in the postseason against the Great Danes on Friday afternoon. Sitting at 1-3 in league play, the Catamounts need to beat UAlbany and get a little help from UMass Lowell to make the field. A victory in Burlington and a Fairfield loss would make the Catamounts the four-seed, setting up a rematch in Albany against the Purple & Gold in the semifinals. Vermont has won two of its last three games.

Taylor Gaines leads Vermont with five goals and two assists for 12 points this season. Under first year head coach Kate Pfeifer, four rookie Catamounts have garnered America East weekly honors on five occasions, including Gaines.
