NEW HAVEN, CONN. -- Mollie Rogers led all players with 12 kills, as Yale defeated UAlbany, 3-0, in non-conference volleyball action on Wednesday afternoon at Lee Ampitheater. The Bulldogs defeated the Great Danes 25-19, 25-14, and 25-11.
Traci Vandegrift and Sara Pope led the Great Danes with five kills apiece, while Vandegrift also recorded eight digs. Setter Sofia Furlong totaled 17 assists, while Viktoriia Stroilo finished with 16 digs and two service aces. Furlong also recorded two total blocks for the Great Danes.
Kendall Polan recorded a triple-double for Yale (4-5) finishing with 28 assists, 13 digs and 10 kills, while Rogers totaled 15 digs to complete a double-double. Jesse Ebner was the third player in double-figure kill totals for the Bulldogs with 10 on .588 hitting.
UAlbany (3-10) will return to action on Sunday, kicking off America East Conference play, hosting Hartford at 2 p.m.
