Get To Know The Great Dane Who Wears No. 1

ALBANY, N.Y. - In the four weeks leading up to the home season-opener on Friday, Nov. 9 against Duquesne, UAlbanysports.com will introduce you to the 13 student-athletes that make the 2012-13  Great Dane men's basketball team. The month-long series will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 11 with Peter Hooley and closes on Nov. 7 with Mike Black.  During the series, you will learn more about the student-athlete beyond the numbers they may produce on the court. Today, we dive into the mind of the Zanesville, Ohio guard Tanner Gibson.

Great Dane fans already know that UAlbany has won two America East Conference Championships, appeared twice in the NCAA Tournament and went to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament last year. But do the Great Dane fans know who the players are off the court? This month-long series will help fans get to know who will help UAlbany push for its third America East Title.
