UAlbany's Alie Beauvais Named America East Conference Men's Track Performer of the Week

Cambridge, Mass. - University at Albany's Alie Beauvais has been selected America East Conference Men's Track & Field Performer of the Week, as announced on Tuesday, April 5 by the conference office.
Beauvais produced the fourth-fastest time in school annals in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles at the 67th Florida Relays last weekend. He finished 10th overall in 51.87 seconds. A senior from Hempstead, N.Y., he lowered his IC4A-qualifying time with a season-best effort.
In addition, Beauvais ran the third leg (400-meters) on the sixth-place sprint medley relay that reached the finish line 3:23.19. He anchored the 4x400-meter relay to a time of 3:17.39, meeting the IC4A standard and placing 34th overall.
Beauvais, who did not compete during the 2010 outdoor season, finished 10th in the 400-hurdles at the 2009 NCAA Championships and earned All-East recognition.
