Mike McCadney

Mike McCadney, one of the program's most prolific jumpers, begins his second year as the director of operations and third year on the staff overall. In his current role, he is responsible for all internal operations.
McCadney returned to his alma mater to assist Nadir Simohamed as a volunteer assistant horizontal jumps coach two seasons ago. In 2009-10, he coached 16 IC4A and ECAC qualifiers, 11 all-conference honorees, three America East champions, two USA Junior National qualifiers and one IC4A individual winner.
McCadney is the owner of the school's indoor and outdoor standards in the triple jump, leaping 51-feet, 8.50-inches indoors at the 2009 IC4A championship and 51-4.25 at the 2009 USA Senior National Championship. In addition to garnering All-East honors twice, McCadney was an IC4A outdoor champion, a two-time America East indoor champion and a two-time America East outdoor champion in his premier event as a collegian. Furthermore, his efforts in the long and triple jump propelled the Great Danes to their first sweep of the IC4A team titles in school history.
McCadney, who served as a team captain, earned a bachelor's degree in a dual major of English and psychology at UAlbany in 2009. He continues to train and recently placed eighth in the triple jump with a personal-best leap of 52-6 at the 2010 USA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Albuquerque, N.M.
