Former standout Great Dane and professional player DJ Evans has entered his second year as the video coordinator for the men's basketball team.

Evans played two years for the Great Danes after earning JUCO All-America honors at East Mississippi Junior College.  He helped UAlbany win a pair of America East titles, being named to the conference's all-tournament team in the 2013-14 season and scoring 22 points in the program's first NCAA Division I Tournament victory over Mount St. Mary's in 2014.

After his collegiate career, Evans played professionally for Fribourg Olympic in Switzerland in 2015.

Evans graduated from UAlbany in 2014, majoring in sociology.
