Short Story: The University at Albany men's lacrosse team took down rival Vermont on Saturday night with a 12-9 victory on senior day. With the win, the Great Danes officially clinch the top overall seed and hosting rights for the America East tournament.

• Silas Richmond led the team with four goals and two assists.
• Ryan Doherty trailed Richmond, scoring three goals and adding one assist.

How it Happened:  

• Vermont opened the scoring with 2:54 left in the first quarter from a goal by Luke Reiter. Shortly after, they found the back of the net again with a goal from Cullen Decker.
• Silas Richmond started the second quarter with back-to-back goals to tie the game for the Great Danes.
• UAlbany kept the momentum going as Koleton Marquis added a goal to give them their first lead of the game, 3-2.
• Ryan Doherty scored on a feed by Richmond with just under eight minutes in the second to make it four-straight for UAlbany, bringing the score to 4-2. The score was Doherty's 100^th of his career.
• The Catamounts quickly responded with goals from Sean McCeney and Max Goldstein, which knotted the game at 4-4.
• With three minutes left in the half, Doherty tallied his second goal of the night on an assist by Jacob Smith.
• The Great Danes continued to increase their lead as they scored a pair of goals from Brendon Barnard and a 20-yard pole goal from Max Neeson.
• With 41 seconds left on the clock, Vermont ate away at their deficit with a goal by Ethan Pearson, 7-5.
• At 11:32, Richmond scored his third of the day to further UAlbany's lead. Three minutes later, he tallied a behind-the-back goal, pushing the lead to 9-5.
• Vermont answered with a pair of goals from Tristan Whitaker and Max Frattaroli shortly after to make it 9-7.
• Jackson Palumb answered for UAlbany with 9:15 remaining in the game to push the lead back to three, 10-7.
• Doherty scored his third of the night to make it 11-7 with seven minutes on the clock.
• As time wound down in the fourth, Vermont shortened the gap with back-to-back goals from Pearson, 11-9.
• With 33 seconds left in the game, Neeson scored from the other side of the field for a highlight reel goal, making the final score 12-9.
