- Silas Richmond started the second quarter with back-to-back goals to tie the game for the Great Danes.
- UAlbany kept the momentum going as Koleton Marquis added a goal to give them their first lead of the game, 3-2.
- Ryan Doherty scored on a feed by Richmond with just under eight minutes in the second to make it four-straight for UAlbany, bringing the score to 4-2. The score was Doherty's 100th of his career.
- The Catamounts quickly responded with goals from Sean McCeney and Max Goldstein, which knotted the game at 4-4.
- With three minutes left in the half, Doherty tallied his second goal of the night on an assist by Jacob Smith.

- As time wound down in the fourth, Vermont shortened the gap with back-to-back goals from Pearson, 11-9.
- With 33 seconds left in the game, Neeson scored from the other side of the field for a highlight reel goal, making the final score 12-9.
