How It Happened

  • New Hampshire's Rose Pavuk got the Wildcats on the board late in the first quarter.
  • Ravan Marsell and Amanda Williamson closed the opening frame with goals to help the Great Danes take a commanding 8-1 lead at the end of the first.
  • Cook extended the lead to 9-1 with a free-position goal to start the second quarter before UNH responded with a 3-0 run to cut the deficit.
  • Marsell halted the Wildcat momentum with a goal in the final minute of the half, sending UAlbany into the locker room with a 10-4 advantage.
  • Marsell picked up where she left off, scoring the opening goal of the second half to earn herself a hat-trick as Zareena Sorho and Carroll also found the back of the net.
  • While playing a player down, Cook caused a turnover leading to a 2-1 breakaway as she gave a feed to Jaedyn Frink, who immediately gave it back to Cook right in front of the net to score a shorthanded goal, giving UAlbany a 14-6 lead entering the fourth.
  • Quinn McCarthy entered the cage for the Great Danes to start the fourth quarter following Cincebox's three quarters of work in the cage.
  • Frink and Roos added insurance goals in the final frame to seal the 16-9 victory and secure the 100-career milestone win for Coach Thomson.
