Short Story: The University at Albany baseball team dropped both games against Texas Tech on Saturday afternoon, despite a strong effort in the second game of the day's doubleheader.
Coach Jon Mueller: "A great response in game two. We played clean defensively and battled all afternoon. Mello was outstanding and Enea kept us in the game. A number of contributions from different players which is a healthy sign."

How it Happened Game 1:
- Ethan Nardacci started on the mound for the Great Danes, Lukas Pirko started for the Red Raiders.
- Texas Tech took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first on an RBI single and a fielder's choice.
- The Red Raiders added four runs in the second on five hits to push the lead to 6-0.
- Texas Tech added five more runs in the third.
- With two outs in the third, Zach Nalawadi replaced Nardacci on the mound for the Great Danes.
- The Red Raiders added three more runs in the third, pushing their lead to 14-0.

- Jonny Lowe replaced Beccerra on the mound for the Red Raiders in the top of the fourth.
- In the bottom of the fourth, Texas Tech scored off a balk to bring the score to 3-1.
- Alex Anea replaced Mello on the mound in the bottom of the fifth for the Great Danes.
- Texas Tech pushed the score to 3-2 on a solo homer from Connor Shouse in the bottom of the fifth.
