BOSTON – After winning back-to-back America East Tournament titles, the University at Albany men's lacrosse team has been picked to finish first in the conference's annual preseason poll, voted on by all seven of the league's head coaches.
UAlbany finished with a total of 36 points and six of the conference's seven first place votes. Bryant followed with 29 points and one first place vote while Vermont finished in third with 24 points. UMBC (22), Binghamton (19), UMass Lowell (9), and NJIT (8) rounded out the conference.

In addition, the America East has announced a Preseason All-Conference Team, which features five Great Danes.
Silas Richmond and
Ryan Doherty we both named Preseason All-Conference at attack, while
Max Neeson was selected as a defenseman.
Daniel Kesselring and
Jackson Palumb were both named Preseason All-Conference at midfield.
Richmond and Neeson are coming off of seasons in which they both claimed Player of the Year honors in their respective positions.

The Great Danes are coming off back-to-back America East Championships, having won NCAA Opening Round matchups in each of the last two years as well.
UAlbany is set to host another seven games from Tom & Mary Casey Stadium this upcoming season. Home opponents include non-conference foes Cornell, Penn, Hobart, and Siena. America East opponents include Bryant, Binghamton, and Vermont.
