SHORT STORY: The Great Danes worked as a team to shutout Longwood and get back in the win column, Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first quarter, Jenna Zunic scored the first goal of the game just two minutes into the second quarter. Zunic's shot was the first of the contest. Emma Staron passed to Zunic for the assist.
- Nearly five minutes into the second half, the Great Danes earned the first penalty corner of the matchup.
- Pilar Lorenzini, assisted by Olivia Bell on the stick-stop and Mara Küskes on the insert, took advantage and drove the ball right into the backboard for UAlbany's second goal.
- Tessa Overgoor scored what proved to be the final goal of the contest in the very beginning of the fourth quarter. Collecting her rebounded shot, she tried again and was able to get it past the Lancers' goalie.
NEXT: The Great Danes will continue on the road in Massachusetts over the next week. They are set to face Holy Cross on Friday (Sept. 19) and UMass on Sunday (Sept. 21).
