ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany men's lacrosse team is prepped for its first America East showdown of the year as the Great Danes visit the Bryant Bulldogs under the lights on Saturday night. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. from Beirne Stadium with coverage on ESPN+.

Into the Record Books
Ryan Doherty had one of the greatest games in UAlbany history this past Saturday at Hobart. The sophomore attack found the back of the net nine times, tying a UAlbany record held by legendary brothers Lyle and Miles Thompson. Miles scored nine against Bryant in 2013, Lyle scored nine against Harvard in 2025. Doherty added one assist for a total of 10 points.
For his efforts, Doherty has locked down a plethora of awards over the past few days. He was named the America East Player of the Week, the USA Lacrosse Magazine Player of the Week, and was named to the USILA Team of the Week.

Freshman goalkeeper
Brady Smith took over the starting job four games ago and has not looked back. The rookie from Bayport, N.Y. currently holds an 11.35 GAA (fourth in AE), a .516 save percentage (third in AE), and averages 9.8 saves per game (fifth in AE). He was named the America East Goalkeeper of the Week after compiling 21 saves in two games, also adding an assist against Hobart for his first collegiate point.

History with Bryant
Saturday's game will be the eighth meeting all time between the Great Danes and the Bulldogs, spanning back to 2012. The Bulldogs have gotten the better of the Great Danes in five of the seven previous matchups, including the last three games. Last season, Bryant was the lone conference loss on UAlbany's resume with the Bulldogs earning a 13-12 victory at Casey Stadium.

Bryant comes into Saturday's game with an overall record of 3-3. The Bulldogs have picked up wins against Merrimack, Quinnipiac, and St. John's. The team's losses have come at the expense of Providence, Brown, and #16 Ohio State.

- Senior defenseman Drew Lucas was selected to the America East Preseason All-Conference Team. Bryant was picked third in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.

- Scott Einarson, the Bulldogs' keeper, has been the best goalie in the conference. He sports a .591 save percentage and an 8.67 GAA.
