BOSTON – University at Albany lacrosse student-athletes Graydon Hogg and Ryan Doherty have collected two of the America East's final weekly honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon. Hogg was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week, Doherty was named the conference's Rookie of the Week.
 
Hogg led the Great Danes with five goals and two assists on Saturday night in an 18-10 win over Binghamton. He scored four goals in the second quarter alone, helping launch UAlbany from a 5-4 deficit to a 10-7 lead heading into the half. Doherty scored two goals in the first quarter and two more goals in the second half for a total of four on the night, finishing behind Hogg. The rookie added a caused turnover in the big win.
 
These are the second such awards for both players this year. Hogg was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week on March 11, Doherty was named the Rookie of the Week on March 25.
 
The win on Saturday night secured the #1 seed for the Great Danes in this year's America East Championship, bringing the event back to Western Avenue for the first time since 2018. UAlbany will play #4 Merrimack on Tuesday night (7:00 p.m.) in the Semifinals. #2 Vermont and #3 UMBC will play at 4:00 p.m. that same day. The Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Casey Stadium.
