BOSTON – University at Albany thrower
Travis Robinson has been named America East Men's Field Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. He was named alongside Men's Track Performer Joseph Young from UMass Lowell, and Women's Track and Field Performers Kenzie Doyle from UMass Lowell and Mackenzie Wilson from Maine.
Â
Robinson, a junior from Kingston, Jamaica, won the men's discus over the weekend at UConn's Northeast Challenge. Robinson's mark, 186-10.00, broke his own UAlbany program record of 186-08.00 set during the 2022 season. It was his fifth-ever mark exceeding 180-00.00.Â
Â
Additionally, Robinson placed second in the men's shot put with a mark of 58-06.00, his second-best outdoor mark and the third best in his career. Tuesday's award is the second of Robinson's season, the sixth of the career, and the fifth during an outdoor season.
