The Great Danes competed in two meets last week, the UMass Multis Meet and the UConn Northeast Challenge. Lowe, a junior from the Bronx, N.Y., participated in three events at the Northeast Challenge. She placed fourth in the 200m in a wind-aided 24.05, and also placed fifth in the 400m, setting a new personal-best of 54.89. As a member of the 4x100m relay, Lowe earned a first-place finish with her teammates, setting a new school record of 44.60. The mark surpasses the previous record of 44.83 set in 2018 by Taahira Butterfield, Chanel Smith, Dayleen Santana Rodriguez, and Stephanie Osuji.

Henry, a freshman from Kingston, Jamaica, won both of the events in which he competed at the Northeast Challenge, setting personal bests in each race. First, he won the 1,500m in 3:49.02, setting a new freshman-class record, surpassing the previous mark of 3:50.68 set in 2017 by Jake Johnson. Next, Henry won the 800m in 1:49.03, becoming the first Great Dane to break 1:50.00 in the event since Tyler Fogarty did so during the 2010 season.
