Key Stats
Head Coach Katie Thomson: "We're proud of the team to find a way to finish the game strong and get the win. Our defense was locked in and limited Brown's opportunities. Aislinn had a huge day in net. Our draw unit stayed ready and on the edge to gain big possessions in the second half. We will continue to work to have a complete game, but we are proud of the execution under pressure to finish today's game in regulation."

How it Happened
- UAlbany returned to the road after playing two-straight games at home on Saturday with a visit to Ivy League opponent Brown. The Great Danes had just notched their first win of the season, a 17-13 victory over four-time defending MAAC champion Fairfield, in which junior midfielder Katie Pascale had tallied nine points for the second-straight game.
- Pascale led off proceedings for UAlbany on Saturday, scoring her first of three goals just over 90 seconds following the opening draw. Sarah Falk scored a few minutes later to put UAlbany up 2-0 with 10:58 left in the first.
- Brown responded with two goals just 28 seconds apart to tie the game at two with 8:50 to go in the first quarter. Pascale contributed to UAlbany's next two goals, setting up a score from Bryar Hogg and then scoring her own second of the game to put UAlbany back up by two with 5:29 remaining in the opening period. Brown scored once more in the first to trail 4-3 to start the second.
- The Bears scored the second quarter's only goal, with 11:07 on the clock, to tie the game at four at halftime. Neither team would score again until Brown took the lead with 5:17 left in the third.
- Emma Weaver scored with 4:27 left in the third, ending a 25-minute scoring drought for the Great Danes. Hogg scored again, once more from Pascale, to retake the lead, 6-5.
- Brown scored to open the fourth quarter before Falk scored on a free position attempt to put UAlbany up 7-6 with 11:42 remaining. Brown scored again just under four minutes later to tie the game at seven.
- Neither team found the back of the net over the ensuing seven-plus minutes. With time winding down, Pascale curled around the back of the Bears' goal and fired a shot past goalkeeper Claire Mahoney with 11 seconds remaining for the go-ahead score to put UAlbany up for good, 8-7.
- Pascale finished the game with five points, bringing her total to 23 over her previous three outings. Aislinn Sweeney turned away 10 shots in net for the Great Danes while surrendering just seven goals. UAlbany finished the game holding narrow advantages over Brown in shots, 24-21, and draws, 11-8.
Next: UAlbany visits #2 Syracuse on March 1.
