ALBANY, N.Y. - University at Albany women's basketball's incoming student-athletes Karyn Sanford and Marie Sepp are set to compete for their respective nations throughout the summer.
 
Sanford and the Norwegian Senior National Team began competition on June 28 at the FIBA Small Nations Championships in Nicosia, Cyprus. After two days of competition, Norway is tied for first with one win, over Andorra, and one loss, to Cyprus. Competition will resume on July 2-3 after two days of rest for Norway.

Given about a week of rest, Sanford will continue her summer of international play competing in the U20 Women's European Championship. The tournament is set to take place in Skopje, Macedonia on July 9-17.
 
Sanford, and the Norwegian U20 team, will compete in Group D against Iceland, Slovenia, and Slovakia throughout the group phase, July 9-13. Norway will kick off the tournament with a game against Slovenia on July 9 before seeing Iceland (July 11) and Slovakia (July 13). The quarterfinals will begin on July 15 with the championships taking place on July 17.

Sepp joins the Estonian U21 National Team to compete in the FIBA U21 3x3 Nations League. A member of the U21 Europe East Conference, Estonia will play a total of six days of competition in order to qualify for the Nations League Championships. 
 
The Estonian U21 3x3 team saw their first three days of competition in Kaunas, Lithuania on June 14-16. The final three days will be played in Bucharest, Romania from July 15 to July 17.
