Head Coach Leigh Howard: "This is a difficult result to swallow. In a game that was back and forth for much of the 90 minutes, we felt as though our team really had the momentum through the second half. Our players came out with an intensity that created chances and our front two were flying on the final third. Jasmine and Jada really put the pressure on and set the stage for the rest of the group. We need to continue to carry that mindset into a difficult couple of last games left in the season."

How it Happened
Â
- The first third of Sunday's first half went by without a score. UMass Lowell struck first when Calliste Brookshire found Lily Fabian to put the River Hawks up 1-0 in the 17th minute.
- UMass Lowell took a 1-0 lead into halftime, despite recording a narrow deficit in first-half shots, 6-5. UAlbany goalkeeper Sophia Chen made three saves in the first 45 minutes to keep the River Hawks' lead close.
- Approaching the mid-way point of the second half, Jada Colbert dribbled herself clear and ripped a shot from 25 yards out, beating UMass Lowell's keeper Taylor Burgess to tie the game at one in the 63rd minute. Colbert and her sister Jasmine would continue to put the pressure on the River Hawk defense, nearly connecting on a go-ahead opportunity that was intercepted by Burgess in the box at the last second.
- UMass Lowell broke through once more in the 81st minute to take a 2-1 lead. The River Hawks would hold on for the victory, dropping the Great Danes to 2-2 in America East play.
- UAlbany held a modest advantage in shots, 12-11, but a modest deficit in corner kicks, 6-4. UMass Lowell took five of its six corners in the second half. The Colbert sisters each took three shots on goal, with Jada leading the team with five total shots.
