Short Story: The UAlbany volleyball team fell to South Carolina in three sets Sunday afternoon, closing out play at the UCF Challenge.

Coach Pickard: “We came out slow against a good South Carolina team and they took advantage of the things we weren't doing well. We definitely learned some things this weekend that should help us down the road."

By the numbers:

• Akuabata Okenwa led the way with five kills.
• Chloe Evering and Danielle Tedesco each had four kills.
• Andersen Vaughan and Malea Stanton tallied 10 assists apiece.
• Stanton also notched five digs.
