Short Story: Leading by 11 points after Day One, the UAlbany men's track & field team won their 13th America East Indoor Championship title in the last 14 years behind 178.50 points and one event wins.
How It Happened
- David Carlson placed third in the men's shot put in 50-02.00 (6th all-time).
- Omahri Sturdivant won the men's triple jump in 51-03.00 (4th all-time); Devon Willis placed second in 50-03.50.
- Sidney Gibbons won the men's 60 meter hurdles in 7.88, falling just 0.01 seconds short of the meet record; Walter Briggs placed second in 7.94 (2nd all-time); Dawshawn Williams placed third in 8.31 (10th all-time); Willis placed fourth in 8.51.
- Harmodio Cruz III placed second in the men's 400 meter dash in 47.83; Briggs placed fifth in 48.48 (13th all-time).
- Matthew LeLiever placed third in the men's 500 meter dash in 1:04.22; Austin Sperl placed sixth in 1:04.56 (17th all-time).
- Garfield Napier placed second in the men's 60 meter dash in 6.90; Jan Michael Gutierrez Almedina placed fourth in 6.95; Sidney Gibbons placed sixth in 7.00; Jowell Dixon placed eighth in 7.12.
- Joe Somerville placed seventh in the men's 800 meter run in 1:53.21 (14th all-time).
- Jan Michael Gutierrez Almedina won the 200 meter dash in 21.20, setting a new school record; Cruz III placed second in 21.48 (4th all-time); Napier placed fourth in 21.77.
- Kyle Gronostaj placed second in the men's 3,000 meter run in 8:19.07.
- The men's 4x800 meter relay team of Sperl, Matthew JeanPierre, Charlie Ragone and Somerville placed fourth in 7:45.37.
- The men's 4x400 meter relay team of Cruz III, LeLiever, Briggs and Gutierrez Almedina placed second in 3:13.50.
- In the men's mile, Charles Ragone turned in a 4:15.39 performance which ranks 22nd all-time.
