KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University at Albany women's soccer team drew to United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic regional selections, the association announced Monday. Meghan Cavanaugh and Jada Colbert were each named to the All-Atlantic Second Team.
Cavanaugh and Colbert are the third and fourth players in program history to earn Second Team regional honors, behind Caroline Kopp and Mariah Williams a season ago. This is also the second time in program history, and the second-straight year, the program has garnered multiple selections.
Cavanaugh, a redshirt-junior from Clifton Park, N.Y., earns Second Team honors after being named Third Team last year. She was named America East All-Conference First Team, scoring four goals with three assists on the season.
Colbert, a sophomore from Freehold, N.J., led the team with five goals and 13 points in 2019. She was named America East All-Conference First Team for the first time in her career, after earning Second Team, All-Rookie, and Rookie of the Year honors last season.
UAlbany won a share of the 2019 America East regular season title, and earned a bye into the America East semifinals, where they were eliminated by Hartford to finish the season 9-6-3 overall.
